The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in a couple of past thefts that have resulted in a significant loss.

In the 4000 block of Jasmine Drive, rural Manhattan, around the date of June 6, 2018, T and M Construction was doing roadwork in the area. They report that a Trimble Total Station in a large yellow case taken without permission from a company truck, (a Dodge Ram 3500) that had been parked inĀ  the area. The total loss is over $26,000.

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is also looking into the theft and damage of several roof-top air conditioners. On or before June 18th, several roof-top air conditioner units behind academy sports were vandalized and gutted for copper and aluminum parts. The damage done to the units and stolen materials are in excess of $50,000. The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is requesting asking for assistance from anyone who may know of or have witnessed any suspicious activity or possession of several large air conditioner evaporator coils and copper tubing in the area of Academy Sports between 06-14-18 and 06-18-18.
