Fingerprinting is conducted on the FD-258 form by appointment only, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM (with the exception of county holidays) through the Records Department. To set up an appointment call (785) 457-3353.
County residents receive fingerprinting free of charge. There is a $10 cash only fee for out of county residents. Unfortunately, we are unable to take any form of electronic payments.
A photo ID is required to get fingerprinted.
Be sure to read and bring any instructions provided to you, any fees that need to be included with your fingerprints, and any other documents your instructions may indicate.
Most of the time, fingerprints will need to be sent in directly from the Law Enforcement Agency completing your fingerprints. You will need to bring an 8 ½”x11” Manilla type envelope, and postage.
