The Communications Division is responsible for relaying information between the public and the Sheriff’s Office. It includes the Dispatch Center, which is staffed by trained dispatchers.

Dispatchers provide support to law enforcement, emergency medical and fire personnel. They monitor local and out of jurisdiction radio transmissions, provide necessary support through use of communications systems, and dispatch the necessary emergency response to calls for service.

Responsibilities Include:
Answering all incoming phone calls
Taking 911 emergency calls
Directing Sheriff’s Deputies to respond to calls
Paging out fire and medical services as needed
Processing drivers license and tags from all 50 states
Checking and confirming warrants on wanted persons
Primary dispatch and 911 for the police departments of St. George, St. Mary’s, Onaga, and Havensville.
