Press Release April 5th, 2019

On Friday April 5, 2019 at about 7:39am, The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s
received a report of a two vehicle accident on Highway 13 near Michael’s
Road, about 3 miles north of Tuttle Creek Dam in rural Pottawatomie County.
Sheriff’s Deputies, EMS and Fire units responded to the scene and due to
total road blockage of the highway and dense fog conditions, assistance was
requested from the Kansas Department of Transportation and Kansas Highway
Patrol. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and one occupant was
transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The
collision remains under investigation at this time.

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of a hit
and run accident that occurred late in the evening hours of April 2, 2019.
The accident occurred in the 13000 block of Anthony Drive, rural St George Kansas.
An unknown vehicle had struck a residence at this location; causing damage to the
residence, and failed to report the accident. Damage is estimated to be $500
dollars.

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a
Polaris ATV, forest green in color, that was taken from the 9000 block of
Lost Creek Road in rural Pottawatomie County Kansas sometime between
January 10, 2019 and January 17, 2019. A small utility trailer was also
taken from at this time. The total loss was over $6000.00.
