Press Release for June 29th, 2017

During the morning of Tuesday, June 27, 2017, the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by members of the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, Wamego Police Department and Wabaunsee County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the rural Westmoreland area of Pottawatomie County. The search warrant was served on the residence of 11970 Pleasant Run Rd.. This warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation into illegal drug use and distribution in the Pottawatomie County area. As a result of this warrant, an unspecified quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana, and firearms were taken as evidence. Arrested as a result of the search warrant was:

Billy Creed Goodman, 38 of 11970 Pleasant Run Rd. Possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, Possession of marijuana with intent to sell, Cultivation of Marijuana, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Possession of felony drug paraphernalia,Criminal use of Firearms, Aggravated Child Endangerment, No drug tax stamp for marijuana or controlled substance. Goodman is currently at the Pottawatomie County Jail, bond set at $250,0000.
