Press Release for July 7th, 2016

On July 1st, 2016 a joint investigation by the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office, Wamego Police Department and Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks resulted in the arrest
of two males.  The two males who were driving a 2004 Chevy Silverado Pickup were stopped near Horseshoe Road on Military Trail Rd, rural Wamego around 3:40 p.m.  
A search of the vehicle was conducted and a quantity of Marijuana was seized as well as two firearms, one being loaded. The driver, Tyler Lee Newman, 26 year old male Onaga was
taken into custody for Distribution of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Hallucinogenic Drug and No Drug Tax Stamp.  He was transported
to the Pottawatomie County Jail and has posted bond of $5000 dollars cash or commercial.  The passenger of the vehicle, Otto Eugene Tisdale, 31 year old male of Wamego was arrested
for Distribution of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Hallucinogenic Drug, Criminal Possession of a Weapon by a Felon and No Drug Tax Stamp.
Tisdale was transported to the Pottawatomie County Jail has since bonded,  $20,000 dollars cash or commercial.
