PTSO Case 2025-2423
On September 6, 2015, at about 4pm, Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a phone call reporting that a female had fallen out of a moving truck. Responding emergency personnel found a female in the roadway with serious injuries. Investigators determined that 45-year-old Shannon Chebultz was riding in a truck driven by her boyfriend, Travis Quigley, when for reasons still unknown, she fell or was ejected from the moving vehicle near Macy Place Drive and Elm Slough Road. Shannon would later die from those injuries. Travis was interviewed by investigators and the scene was processed. The circumstances of her death remain undetermined.
This has remained an open investigation since that day in 2015 and investigators have followed up on several leads during this time, but the case is still unsolved at this time.

PTSO Case 2025-3818
On July 3, 2025, at around 11:00 PM, the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Elm Slough Rd and Trayton’s Lane, rural Wamego, Pottawatomie County, Kansas for a report of an injury from a fight at a party. Law Enforcement, EMS and Fire units responded to the scene and one individual was transported to an area hospital for injuries.
Since that night, Law Enforcement has spoken with approximately 35 individuals that were at the party or had information about the fight without any success in identifying who all was involved in the fight and what exactly occurred that night. Two victims sustained significant injuries to include one of them losing consciousness and causing health issues beyond that night.
We are asking the public’s help in identifying a vehicle and the possible occupants who may have also been involved or witnessed the events at the party. The vehicle is described as dark colored sedan. A prior wanted vehicle, a white truck, has been eliminated as being involved. We understand that the details are vague, but we are doing everything we can to identify the people involved in the altercation.
