The City of Saint George, Kansas is a rapidly growing and progressively minded community located in southwest Pottawatomie County (5 miles east of Manhattan), and is one of the fastest growing areas in the State of Kansas. The Saint George Police Department, under the leadership of Chief Dan Trechter, is rebuilding from the ground up with integrity, professionalism, and a community based policing philosophy that works with the community rather than against it. We are proactive, but still sensitive to the needs of a smaller community environment. Our ranks are filled with highly qualified, professional, full-time certified, and community oriented police officers. Our officers collectively have approximately 50 years of Law Enforcement experience.
