On February 7th, 2023, at approximately 12:43pm, Pottawatomie County Dispatch took a 911 call of a structure fire located in the 400 block of East Plum Street, Louisville, Pottawatomie County, Kansas. Emergency crews were dispatched and upon arrival discovered a mobile home with smoke coming from it. While firefighters investigated the fire, Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Deputies learned that there was a methamphetamine laboratory inside the residence. A search warrant for the residence was applied for and executed after the fire was extinguished. As a result of the search warrant, two men were arrested and transported to the Pottawatomie County Jail. Both men are currently awaiting bond.

Odis Leon Parker, 80, Louisville, was booked on charges of Manufacturing a Controlled Substance, Criminal Use of Weapons, Possession of Paraphernalia with Intent to Manufacture a Controlled Substance, Possession of Stimulant, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Odis Leon Parker Jr., 47, Louisville, was booked on charges of Manufacturing a Controlled Substance, Possession of Paraphernalia with Intent to Manufacture a Controlled Substance, Arson; Accidental to Dwelling by Manufacturing a Controlled Substance, and Aggravated Battery.
The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by Pottawatomie County Consolidated Fire, Pottawatomie County EMS, Pottawatomie County Emergency Management, Kansas State Fire Marshal, Riley County Police Department, and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
