On Monday, March 27, 2017, Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Cheney Construction, 1125 Hayes Drive, Manhattan for a reported burglary and theft. The victim in the matter advised that over the weekend of March 24th, through the 27th, unknown person or persons had broke into the business and stole two pickup trucks. The stolen pickup trucks are described as a white 2004 Dodge 2500 Crew Cab with a Cheney Construction logo on the doors with a Kansas license plate of 601171 and a gray 2005 Dodge 2500 Crew Cab with a Kansas license plate of 601173. Evidence at the scene indicate multiple people may have been involved in this crime. The loss from this crime is estimated to exceed $20,000 dollars.
