On Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at about 1:15pm, the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a homeowner about a person being in one of their outbuildings in the 19000 block of Lincoln Road in rural Onaga, Pottawatomie County, Kansas. Sheriff’s Deputies and other law enforcement officers responded to the area looking for the suspect vehicle described as a black Ford SUV.

An officer on the way to the scene spotted a vehicle matching the description of the one involved in the incident. The officer initially lost sight of the vehicle, then spotted it again on a dirt road just across the Jackson County line, on B Road, south of 110th. Authorities were able to identify one of the people believed to be in the vehicle, and spoke with him Tuesday night near St. Mary’s. Nobody was taken into custody at this time.
