Press Release for December 28th, 2020

On Tuesday December 28, 2020, the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office took
two theft reports of catalytic convertors from different locations. The
first report was taken from Frieling Auto Sales, 7846 E. Highway 24
Manhattan, Pottawatomie County, Kansas for the theft of a catalytic
convertor from a vehicle. The theft occurred between December 15, 2020 and
December 28, 2020.


A second report was taken on December 28, 2020 from the 26000 block of
Doyle Creek Road, St. Mary’s, Pottawatomie County, Kansas. Two vehicles
that were parked on the property had their catalytic converters removed. It
is believed the catalytic converters were removed prior to December 25,
2020.

On Thursday, December 30, 2020 the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office
responded to the 4000 block of Jackies Way, Manhattan, Pottawatomie County,
Kansas for a burglary and theft report. An unknown person or persons had
entered into an enclosed trailer at a construction site and stole several
tools sometime between 730am and 1230pm on December 30, 2020. Total loss is
about $22,000.00.

On Sunday, January 3, 2021, the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office
responded to AG Partners in the 200 block of East Valley Street, Wamego,
Pottawatomie County, Kansas for a past burglary. The investigation revealed
that two individuals entered the business . A red smaller size SUV, possibly

a Ford Escape, was seen leaving the business.
