On July 28, 2019 at approximately 4:42 am the Pottawatomie County Sheriff Office was notified of an injury accident involving a UTV. The accident was reported to have occurred in the area of Onaga Road and Crevecoeur Road, North of Onaga. Deputies, EMS and First Responders were notified and responded to the area. The UTV was located, overturned in a ditch on Onaga Road. The UTV, a Polaris had been occupied by three individuals. The vehicle had been traveling northbound on Onaga Road when it left the roadway and entered into the west ditch causing it to overturn. Brad Marten, 55 of Onaga who was identified as the driver of the UTV died at the scene. Tony Kuehl, 49 of Hoyt KS was transported by EMS for injuries and Preston Simmons, 37 of Onaga was seen by EMS and released.
