On June 16th, 2022 at approximately 1:06 p.m., the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a two vehicle injury accident on Highway 24 and Flush Road. Deputies learned that a van was Southbound on Flush Road and Highway 24 when it attempted to cross the Eastbound lanes of Highway 24. The van was struck by a Eastbound truck pulling a car trailer. The driver of the van was injured and transported by Lifestar to a Topeka Hospital with unknown injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured. Neither drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident. The accident is still under investigation and at this time, names of the drivers are not being released.
