Subject: Press release on Attempted Murder arrest

PRESS RELEASE: On June 22, 2025, at about 12:35am, the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a female run over in the 20000 block of Pauling Run Road, rural Wamego, Pottawatomie County, Kansas. Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the location and were able to determine that a female suspect, identified as Dana Blume, 43, of Onaga, had intentionally run over the victim, identified as Kara Murray, 52, of Wamego with a vehicle following an argument. The victim sustained serious injuries and was flown by helicopter to an area hospital, where she is being treated. Blume was arrested and is currently confined at the Pottawatomie County Jail awaiting bond to be set on charges of Attempted Murder in the 2nd Degree.
